Movie Day: Eleanor Parker (Marilyn Monday)
dvd-player
Vacation is officially over -- back to work on Tuesday. (This, however, is Marilyn Monday, so it doesn't count from vacation days. Which means we had two Marilyn Mondays during this recent vacation.)

The weather remains hot, but at least it's not over 100' right now!

We stayed in all day. Mostly in the family room and mostly watching TV.

There were two good Eleanor Parker movies on today! We had never seen either one previously. The first one we saw was "Interrupted Melody," based on the true story of Marjorie Lawrence -- Eleanor learned all the arias performed during the film so she could sing them convincingly (yes, she was dubbed, but still!). That was from 1955. The second film was "Caged," the story of a teenage girl sent to prison for being an accessory to a robbery. Her experiences while incarcerated (along with the killing of her husband and having her baby born in prison and taken from her) change her from a frightened young girl into a hardened convict. Both were really good. And Eleanor Parker was amazing in both.

We also re-watched the movie "Passengers," from last year (such a good film).

And tonight we watched American Ninja Warrior for two hours, of course!!! How we love that show!

We ate very little today. Marilyn had a burrito and I had cottage cheese. And we had some cheese and crackers. And some coffee (we're almost totally OUT of coffee!!!). And that's about it.

I was REALLY SICK last night after we went to bed. Threw up several times. Not sure why, but it might have been a flare-up of vertigo (which can make you sick to your stomach). Anyway, eventually got it under control and went back to bed...

That was pretty much our whole day, except for playing games on our iPads...

Good night!
