The most important thing we got done today? Marilyn and I went in for our pedicures and manicures.
We're really wondering if it's time to look for a new place to get these done. They just don't seem to do as good a job as they used to there. Plus they HURT US quite a bit during the process. I'm not sure if it's a matter of inexperienced people doing the work, or that they go too fast or what. But we have to deal with enough pain in life without this getting more and more painful to have done.
Anyway, it's out of the way for another month, thankfully! Marilyn did dark blue on her toes and a light blue on her fingers. I did my usual gold on my toes -- well, I did gold (that's usual), but a new shade this time, that I really like (so that's different). And silver on my fingers.
We chatted via phone with sister Sue while at Starbucks (where we'd gone because they weren't ready for us at the nail salon).
The rest of this weekend? We mostly spent it resting and sleeping. We're still both really tired.
And Marilyn needs to continue to take it easy while she's healing. This is slow going. Now that she can chew food, it's often a painful thing. And the stitches are driving her crazy!
I'm staying home to color my hair tomorrow... I hope Marilyn doesn't have too difficult a day at the office. I guess Jillian won't be in (she asked for the day off via email or text, I can't recall which).
Tuesday is our staff retreat day. It should be nice to see everyone from the season, now that we're down so much.
