Marilyn's Mouth -- My Left Buttoch
ouch-word

Just home. I'm going to try and fix something for dinner, as we haven't eaten such lunch (McDonald's, thank God). Except for bad popcorn that we had at the Hollywood Theatre, attending the IYSFF Awards event, that went on FOREVER. We will NOT be attending that event again next year, you can believe me...

The sad thing? The movies are worth seeing! It's all the OTHER CRAP that wore us out. And we were all tired before we ever got there! Attending from the festival were: Marilyn, Jeff, Christine and her son Zander, Frank (our president) and me. And we all felt the same about this.

After that event, Marilyn and I went to the festival storage warehouse, where Carla, her husband Gary and Becky were all working on two of the mini-floats for the Grand Floral Parade. These are AWESOME, by the way! I can't wait to see them in the parade on Saturday!!!

It was a very long and very tiring day, obviously. Marilyn spent ages gathering all the logos that are displayed during GFP in the Coliseum (and I helped her a bit). Jessica runs this for us, and she came in for her meeting at 6:00 p.m.

I worked for ages on the News item for the website that goes tomorrow morning and covers all the major events for Thursday through the golf tournament on Monday. It was a TON of work.

Many of the staff were gone today for the Junior Parade.

Oh. And I did get the results up at the website for the Junior Parade, such as they were. It looks like a bunch of stuff either didn't get judged, or the paperwork for the judging was lost...

Gary and Carla gave us some pears and apples they were using to decorate the one float, as they had quite a few leftovers. So I guess we could end up eating some healthy fruit. (smile)

Marilyn is in constant pain from her torn up tongue (a result of a very jagged tooth that needs pulling). She's even having trouble talking. I feel awful for her! And I'm still having trouble with my left buttoch. The pain really makes it hard to sit comfortably. (Lying down is better, but the pain is messing with my sleep for sure.) My pain is NOTHING to Marilyn's, though! I'm seriously worried about her... Mouth pain can be very serious.

Fitbit Update: Marilyn had 7,200 steps today and I had 9,000. I have NO IDEA how I got that many more than she did, but it must be going up and down the staircase, I guess.

Off to finish making dinner and eat! Then hopefully head to bed.

I hope both of you feel better soon!
