As I mentioned in my earlier entry, today was garbage day. I was PLEASED to get this all done (including the cat boxes) while it was still light out (and in spite of the heat). Actually, at one point the heat was bothering me so much that I thought I'd need to put this off until after dark. Hahaha.
Jillian didn't finish the GFP script today, so I wasn't able to work on that. I think tomorrow will be fine. The nice thing? Both Marilyn and I will have it over the weekend to finish up (and Kim who does the TV version doesn't need it until Sunday! (woo hoo)
More quinoa for dinner again tonight (leftovers).
Barron phoned again today, but I missed speaking to him. His message said something about Linda going home tomorrow. Oh, good grief. That sounds bad to me. The problem is that Linda can sign herself out, which isn't really good in this case...
Sister Sue and I went to the Old Spaghetti Factory near Johns Landing today (which is near the old offices for the festival). We hadn't been there in some time, and we'd never been to that location together before. We both really enjoyed it.
I almost forgot! Sue and I drove over to Marilyn's billboard and took some photos! I need to remember to send those to Sue (via email) tomorrow so she has them.
I got several text messages from Mark during lunch. I also got text messages from June today. Lovely to hear from my friends!
I did some more laundry today. And finished watching the animated movie "Princess Mononoke." It was interesting and lovely, but the cultural difference made it hard for me to really 'get it,' if I'm being honest. The ending was a bit strange to me...
We missed out on seeing "Interstellar," I'm afraid. (sigh) I guess we'll have to rent it all over again...
Marilyn brought home our "And I Cannot Lie" tee shirts (these are black with white writing). Sir Mix-A-Lot will be appearing at our FIRST EVER Starlight After-Party on Saturday night!
I did some festival website work today and worked on email.
Marilyn had a SUPER-BUSY day and spent a lot of time in the car. Yet I saw her Fitbit and she had a minimum of 7,000 steps (it was synced, so I don't know the actual total). I got some 5,000 steps, myself, today.
We made our high of 84' today (!!!). I was glad I had the air on in the house, that's for sure! We're glad to get the sunny weather, of course, but it's typical that it goes from cool to really hot! Hahaha.
Hector came today and did our yard. He needs to poison the weeds again, because they're out of control! Nasty, frankly.
Not sure what I'm forgetting, but we need to get to bed. Friday (tomorrow) will be another long, busy day. And this is a hugely busy weekend!!!
Good night, my friends!
