Marilyn and I went to work today. Wow, was it a crazy and tense day for both of us. There's just so much to get done. In fact, we're planning to go in to the festival office tomorrow, so we can catch up after being out this week.
Donn was in to install Quickbooks, which took HOURS and HOURS to get done. Yes, he had five computers to do, but this was about the change Intuit made to Quickbooks 2015 -- where the data files cannot be stored on a Sever drive, but must be stored on the local drive of the admin computer. How ridiculous is that??? WHY would they change that? We back up our Server drives, but don't back up local computer drives! That has to be common for those who have small business servers, I'd think.
The support guy came up with some complicated work around where everything will back up to the server drive. But I still don't get it! How can these be seen as an improvement? Here we are with the latest version of Quickbooks -- and the most expensive version. And it works less effectively than our older version. So annoying!
I need to find a way to complain officially to Intuit, because I'm appalled at this change.
Donn didn't take off until past 7:00, which is very hard for him. He normally takes a nap every afternoon. 9:30 to 7:00 is a long day. And it was stressful, dealing with all the Quickbook problems...
(I gave Donn one of those VISA gift cards to buy his lunch. I thought he'd earned a little bonus.)
Rich and I went out for Starbucks in the morning (Marilyn was in a meeting). Later Marilyn and I walked out at lunch so she could get Starbucks and we both could get some food.
The best thing about that is getting our steps in, of course!
Today much of my focus was on the website. So many issues to deal with. We're working very hard to reason things out. It's stressful, though.
I'm tired tonight... We got home just before 8:00.
I went over to June's briefly to fix her game for her and visit for just a little bit. I love June (and Jim, too). They're like family to Marilyn and me.
Amy's healthy pizza for dinner.
My blood count was good both yesterday and today.
Fitbit Update: Marilyn did 5,600 steps today (getting on the treadmill tonight). I did 7,006 steps today.
